Interior and Product Design

Interiors and products are intrinsic to Hulanicki's design philosophy. She created fantasy lands with the Biba stores in which customers could luxuriate, and offered fully-designed themed rooms with matching accessories and products decades before companies like IKEA.

Her work in regenerating Miami's art-deco hotels in the 1990s was a natural progression. While respecting the history of the buildings, Hulanicki brought them back to life with the creation of contemporary interiors populated with her wallpapers, fittings, and furniture designs.  

In 2023 Hulanicki was given the keys to Miami in recognition of her work and its influence on kick starting the re-emergence of the city as a fashionable beachside resort.
